Bhutani Developed World-Class Film City Near Noida International Airport

The Government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP) has announced plans for the development of a state-of-the-art film city in Sector 21, located within the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Area (YEIDA) in the state. This ambitious project is expected to transform the region into a hub for the film and entertainment industry, providing a wide range of facilities and services for media production and associated activities.

The proposed Bhutani Film City will cover an expansive area of approximately 1,000 acres, strategically situated close to key infrastructure, including the Noida International Airport, which is being developed near Jewar. With the establishment of the airport, the region is set to experience a significant boost in economic growth and opportunities across various sectors. The development of the film city will further enhance the area’s appeal, positioning it as a key destination for the entertainment and media industries.

In collaboration with the Government of Uttar Pradesh, a Detailed Feasibility Report (DFR) for the project has been prepared by CBRE South Asia, one of the leading real estate consultancy firms. The report has been approved by the GoUP, marking a significant step forward in the realization of the project. The goal is to create a world-class integrated media infrastructure that will cater to the entire value chain of the film and entertainment industry, from production and post-production to distribution and promotion.

The film city will be designed to include a variety of cutting-edge facilities, such as sound stages, production studios, film editing suites, and other specialized infrastructure necessary for modern media production. Additionally, it is expected to feature ancillary services like accommodation, recreational areas, and business centers, providing a comprehensive ecosystem for both domestic and international media professionals.

One of the key advantages of the proposed site is its strategic location along the Yamuna Expressway, which connects several key regions of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi-NCR. The proximity to the Noida International Airport, just 4 kilometers away, will further enhance the connectivity and accessibility of the film city. This will be a major benefit for filmmakers, actors, and other industry professionals who will be able to easily travel to and from the site.

In a forward-thinking move, the project also includes the development of a Passenger On Demand (POD) taxi service, designed to connect the Noida International Airport directly with the Film City. This innovative transportation solution will make it easier for visitors, production crews, and other stakeholders to travel efficiently between the two locations, reducing travel time and enhancing convenience.

The establishment of a Film City in the Yamuna Expressway region is expected to create numerous employment opportunities, stimulate local businesses, and attract global attention to Uttar Pradesh’s rapidly growing film and entertainment sector. The project aligns with the state’s broader vision of fostering industrial development and creating a thriving ecosystem for creativity and innovation in media production.
